Solo Kota Kita has shown me how I can contribute something useful for Solo – the place that has become my second hometown. We produce mini atlases that help people understand their neighborhood better. The mini atlases are also a tool to promote Solo in other areas in Indonesia and throughout the world.

The project has been my first experience working with people with different backgrounds and from outside Indonesia – which helps me develop my English-speaking ability. Our team works together to share our experiences even though we come from different countries and have different interests of study. Interacting with the team has led to a new understanding of urban planning and how it relates to my study of architecture.

I have started to understand that learning can happen everywhere and there are many methods to understand phenomena in our society. From Solo Kota Kita, I’ve learned how I can share what I study with other people.
