Bumi merupakan kelurahan kecil yang dekat dengan pusat kota. Kebanyakan penduduk tinggal dekat temapt kerja yaitu industri batik. Bumi adalah kawasan pemukiman tua dan relatif tertata, namun belum semua menikmati layanan publik.
